Puerto Rico is a Caribbean island and unincorporated U.S. territory with a landscape of mountains, waterfalls and the El Yunque tropical rainforest. San Juan is the capital and largest most populated city located on the northeastern part of the island.

The 2024 Couples Retreat will be held in the capital city of  San Juan, Puerto Rico.  It sits on the island's Atlantic coast.  Just minutes away from Cobblestoned Old San Juan which features colorful Spanish colonial buildings and 16th-century landmarks including El Morro and La Fortaleza, massive fortresses with sweeping ocean views, as well as the Paseo de la Princesa bayside promenade. 

The average temperature in February is 84 degrees F in the day and 72 at night 

In Puerto Rico, the primary language is Spanish. However, almost everyone understands English, especially in tourist areas. 

The retreat is in English.  We will make accommodations if there are only Spanish registered.  We want everyone to feel included.

The US dollar is the currency, so if you're traveling from the U.S. there's no need to worry. Most places accept major credit cards like VISA, Mastercard, American Express, etc.

Puerto Rico falls in the AST or Atlantic Standard Time zone. Daylight Saving Time does not apply in the island. 

Airports (no passport is needed if traveling from the US).  You need to have a REAL ID.

You can book your flight to the San Juan Airport (SJU) which is only 10 minutes to the AC Hotel.  Ubers and Taxi's are available from the San Juan Airport.

Question:  Do  vaccination to enter Puerto Rico?

Answer: No, the requirements are the same as entering any US State.

Question:  Do I need to rent a car? 

Answer:  No, car rental is not required if you are staying in the San Juan Area.  If you decide to rent a car or drive your own car There is a parking lot next to the AC Hotel.  The parking fee is $25 per day.

Question: How should I pack?

Answer:  White outfit, shorts, tee shirts, swimming suit/trunks, sandals, walking shoes, workout clothes,  Light dress or Sun dress, Dress up clothes (No Suit required) light clothes, sweater or wrap for air conditioners and a sports jersey if you are staying for the Super Bowl Game.

Question:  What is the #1 attraction in Puerto Rico.

Answer: Besides the beautiful beaches, it is El Castillo San Felipe del Morro (known simply as El Morro) is Puerto Rico's go-to tourist attraction, both for its extensive history and its outstanding vistas of the Atlantic Ocean. You can also walk through the fortress' depths, which include a maze of tunnels, barracks and prison cells.  El Morro is only a 15 min drive from the AC Hotel.
